Since 1991, Nilofer Shahid has reinvented the classic vision of Haute Couture garments and accessories. She is the first one who represented Pakistan in Paris Fashion Week, and now is one of the leading haute fashion houses in Pakistan.

Meeras is the only fashion house in Pakistan to work on profound themes with extensive research, hence having an edge over all its competitors in Pakistan. Each garment has its own story and philosophy, about a certain theme/inspiration. Consequently, the challenge to blend history, poetry, and art into a wearable garment drove Meeras to access professionals from all required areas and train them extensively.

The MEERAS accessory line has been recently launched and her exclusive and distinctive jewellery. Meeras produces from extremely traditional to a fusion line, from couture to prêt, fusing the West and coming up with a wearable exotic look having its strong signature style. Meeras was also the 1st fashion house to support PIFD, Pakistan Institute of Fashion & Design, realizing the urgent need for such an institute for the benefit of Pakistan’s fashion industry, by and large. The motto is to keep on reinventing but keep the Meeras signature in mind regarding innovation, strong sense of style, perfect finishing, world trends, marketing, media, etc.

Mix Plate conducted a special interview with internationally recognized Pakistani Fashion Designer “Nilofer Shahid”, in Ramadan. Fashion House of “Meeras” also recognized as the ‘Runway Empress’ of Pakistan, awarded with knighthood “Grades De Chevalier” by the French government, the First one to Represent Pakistan in Paris Fashion Week in the late 90’s, Cultural Ambassador of Pakistan, and Charismatic Personality.
