A high-altitude plain called Deosai National Park, located in the Gilgit-Baltistan province’s Skardu Region, is also renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty and distinctive ecosystem. Due to its high elevation and large, open landscapes, Deosai National Park is sometimes also known as the “Land of Giants. One of the world’s highest plateaus, the park is located at an elevation of almost 4,000 meters above sea level. The park is only open in the summer session because it is frequently covered with snow throughout the winter, which lasts from October to April. The Skardu district administration’s issued permission slips are available at the park entrance gate or the Skardu Tourist Information Centre.
