Bollywood actors Zaheer Iqbal and Sonakshi Sinha recently celebrated their marriage with a lavish event that drew interest from industry insiders and those outside of it. The couple’s auspicious day started with a civil ceremony, followed by a large wedding celebration at Mumbai’s Bastian. Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Rekha, Chunky Panday, Kajol, Arbaaz Khan, Saira Banu, Vidya Balan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Tabu were among the celebrities who attended the wedding reception. Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh performed, making it an unforgettable celebration.
It was requested that attendees refrain from wearing red, and the dress code for the evening was “formal and festive,” Sinha wore a stunning traditional red Varanasi silk saree from Raw Mango for the reception. It was embellished with chand buta motifs that were reminiscent of 18th-century designs. With the addition of a matching choker, earrings, and flowers in her hair, she effortlessly combined modern and traditional elements into her ensemble. They wore matching ivory outfits, with Sinha in her mother Poonam Sinha’s wedding saree and jewelry, while Zaheer Iqbal wore an ivory embroidered kurta and pajama. Amidst the lavish celebration, the occasion signaled the beginning of a beautiful chapter in their love story and was handled with grace and simplicity.
The groom’s father, Iqbal Ratansi, stressed that religion had no bearing on their marriage by stating that there were no religious rites and that Sinha had not converted to Islam.
The couple shared their happiness on Instagram, saying, “On this very day, seven years back in each other’s eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and our Gods… we are now husband and wife.”
